Making merit ทำบุญ

Temples are very beautiful 　 วัดสวยมาก 　ngôi chùa đẹp lắm 　お寺はとても美しい　寺庙非常漂亮

Many people like to make merit at temples. Some like to "pay respect to Buddha" (ไหว้พระ)

or "make offerings" (ใส่บาตร). I really respect(เคารพ) people who do this just to be a good person.

However, many people do it because they want to be rich in the future. Many people even buy lottery tickets at temples because they think it is lucky.

I think this is very funny (ตลก) because Buddha teaches us that money is not important. Buddha used to be a rich prince, but he gave everything away because he knew being rich was not important. Therefore, why would he help you to get rich? 55555
